Financial Analyst & Audit Compliance Coordinator

Job Description

Primary Purpose of the Job
  • Provides analysis and support on a range of issues: monthly forecasting support on projects and overhead, labor rate analysis, and annual department overhead budgets to support the planning process
  • Provides support in preparation of data to generate monthly reporting
  • Compliance Coordinator Role for Finance area to ensure compliance with Internal Audit self-assessment activities and to manage the Center of Excellence (CoE) for the Arconic Technology Center (ATC)
  • Performs month-end closing activities and reporting including account reconciliations and exception analysis during the pre-close and closing processes and escalating issues to the Accounting Manager
  • Financial analysis and process development for special projects, as required
Major Activities/Key Challenges
  • Compliance Coordinator Role for Finance Area develop yearly compliance calendar, monitor and track progress for meeting SOX objectives and Arconic Self-Assessment Tool (ASAT) areas, review monthly SOX news letter and share pertinent data, and update STARS tool with calendar dates
  • Provide monthly analysis and reporting for forecasting results
  • Variance analysis for standard versus actual labor site rate
  • Complete internal ASAT control testing in the finance area
  • Support site with overhead forecasting and understanding variance analysis, and system maintenance in Oracle and order entry process at ATC
  • Ad hoc reporting for Accounting Manager
  • Primary back-up for billing process and maintenance of order entry input process
Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills in combination with system-based reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of Management in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, cross train, establish priorities, and develop effective action plans to solve issues in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Systems & Discover Reporting
  • Ad hoc Reporting
Major Customers
  • External Customers ATC Business Units, Pittsburgh Financial Shared Service Accounting, CoE, and internal audit.
  • Internal Customers Work with all levels of the ATC organization including Division Managers, Section Heads and Project Leaders and interacting with other Arconic and ATC RU administrative resources
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree in Finance/Accounting from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or finance
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
